No. The Cyprus Citizenship by Investment Program was suspended in November 2020 following international investigative reports revealing that passports had been issued to individuals with problematic backgrounds. The government subsequently conducted a review and revoked several passports already issued. Currently, only a permanent residency program by investment remains available.
Not automatically. Cyprus is an EU member and part of the Eurozone but has NOT yet joined the Schengen Area. You will still need to apply for a separate Schengen visa if you wish to travel to France, Germany, Italy, or other Schengen countries. Cyprus has expressed its intention to join but there is no confirmed timeline. This is a point many people are unaware of.
Since 1974, the northern part has been controlled by Turkey and declared the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" — recognized only by Turkey. Many properties there have disputed ownership claims with former Cypriot owners of Greek origin who fled in 1974. There are serious legal risks; you should absolutely avoid such purchases and seek independent legal counsel.
